Millies Fruit and Veg

Millies is the longest established fruit and vegetable retailer in York. My great-grandad set the business up in 1920 on York market; the shop is named after my grandmother who ran three shops and a market stall as well as bringing me and my brother up, an amazing lady with an unsurpassable work ethic. We work closely with local farmers so we can sell the freshest, tastiest local produce. In the winter months our local cauliflower, sprouts, carrots and cabbages are sublime and in the summer we have local strawberries, raspberries etc. fresh from the field into the shop in less than a day. We also have local jams and chutney from Bracken Hill, local honey from Copmanthorpe, nuts and grains from Shepcote in Driffield, we have homemade curries from Rafi's Spicebox in York, also a lot of vegan and non-dairy products. We work closely with Suma who provide amazing diverse products and with our sister company Simon Baynes wholesale who provide direct access of Italian and Spanish products. We have an online shop www.millies.york which offers a same day delivery in the york area (order up to 11am) or next day delivery after 11am, all deliveries are made in our branded, temperature controlled van, so if you can't make it to Millies we can come to you and deliver at your preferred time or tell us where to leave your order in our inbox before you check out.
