At Minster Walk Guest House we work hard to cater for our guests every comfort and hope you will agree we are a bit of a Bobby Dazzler. From our unique guest lounge with complementary cake and drinks to our specialist Yorkshire grown pocket sprung mattresses we hope to entice you to try a bit of The Minster Walk Magic.

When visiting York it is really hard to beat us on location. We look onto the ancient City Walls with some rooms having beautiful views of York Minster. Although we are a stones throw from the central attractions we are lucky enough to be situated next to the famous Museum Gardens meaning our location is very peaceful providing a tranquil place to take a break from the hustle and bustle. We have the River Ouse at the bottom of Marygate, just a couple of minutes from our door, a stroll along the river bank on your way to dinner is just one of the perks of our unique situation.

Not meaning to blow our own trombones but we are pretty sure you will have an amazing nights rest with us.The decision to use Harrison Spinks mattresses on our beds was an easy one, the price tag slightly harder but most definitely worth it. These specialist pocket sprung mattresses are made in Leeds using natural fillings of sheep wool and hemp which are home grown in the village of Bolton Percy, just outside York, so have the added bonus of keeping our suppliers local.

Pairing the mattresses with the perfect linen was another slight challenge but after many trials we believed we have cracked it and as soon as our customers started asking where they could buy it from we knew we had.
