The Star Inn The City
Simple Yorkshire cooking with a taste of the countryside.
Located in the old Engine House on the edge of York's Museum Gardens, close to the historic Lendal Bridge and Tower, The Star Inn The City has an enviable riverside position. The Brasserie-style restaurant opened in 2013, after Andrew Pern of the Michelin-starred Star Inn at Harome joined the building owners in their quest to establish a food-led celebration destination in one of York's unique locations.
The aim of matching its beautiful setting with the best produce, which God's Own County has to offer and genuine Yorkshire hospitality has resulted in the eatery quickly becoming a firm favourite for special meals, such as graduation celebrations, birthdays and anniversaries.
“Using only good quality, fresh and local produce from in and around Yorkshire. We love creating seasonal dishes and serving them up to our customers in our unique, riverside location in the heart of York.”
