York is open for business! February 2020 and York has joined many other towns and villages across the country experiencing flood warnings. York is somewhat of an old hand at dealing with flooding and we prepare ourselves every year. Although this February's flooding has been widespread, Indie York is keen to get the word out that the city centre is largely unaffected. The River Ouse has burst it's banks and flood water is present adjacent to the river and some outlying areas. The city centre is clear and it is business as usual for all our wonderful independents. So we urge you to support our small businesses at a time when visitor levels may suffer due to media coverage.
